Subject: ghost in an old log cabin

My husband and I were looking to purchase an old, cheap lakeshore cabin this last summer and were visiting some friends of ours at their family's log cabin on Whitefish Lake in Northern Minnesota. The cabin was built during the Depression years by my friend's grandfather who was very successful in the banking industry. This cabin was incredible, and I was intrigued by it and fell in love with it immediately. It was huge, had the typical field stone fireplace, upper loft with open railing overlooking the livingroom, and it was filled with the furnishings and lodge embellishments of the era. It was everything you'd ever want in a cabin. My friend's grandfather had died and passed the cabin on to his family members, and shared ownership of the cabin was once again ready to be passed on to other relatives due to family deaths. It was possible that all of the owners might sell the cabin, and I was told it would sell for approximately 1 1/2 million dollars. Anyways, after visiting with our freinds, my husband and I got ready for bed and turned out the lights. It was pitch black in the room, and the cabin was positioned in the middle of a huge hill that led down to the lake. There were no driveways or roads near the cabin where headlights could shine in the windows, and no other way light could enter the room. I couldn't go to sleep, so I laid there staring up towards the ceiling but could see nothing. I marveled at the fact that I had my eyes open but it was as dark as if they were closed. Minutes later, I saw a flourescent greenish white light in the shape of a sort of rectangle made of blobs of this light float about 8 feet above my head from one side of the room to the other and disappear. I also had a strange impression that it wondered who we were...a sort of question like "Who are you?" It was as if the impression was just very curious, but it felt friendly, not menacing or scary. Although I admit I was frightened and I pulled the covers over my head. I told my husband my story the next day, and he told me that he saw something behind him right before he turned out the light and got into bed!! A figure about his height, kind of behind him...he'd never admit something like this if he hadn't actually seen it!!! Wow, it was amazing!!
