Subject: Crochet Oval Placemate

1. I think its been at least 6-8 years since I have seen these Oval placemats in a catalog like Mary Maxim. The outer edge of these placemate had a type of "overlap" of maybe popcorn stitches around the outer edges of the mats. A friend of mine bought two sets. One was made peach color yarn and the other set mauve color yarn. She had bought them in another state at a Christmas bazzar to give away as a gifts. At the time I didn't really know how the the stitch was made.
2&3.I also had bought the little Bubblegum or Gumdrop dress kit AND ALSO the yarn for little baby sweaters from Mary Maxim(?). I put both directions together "In a safe place!" and haven't found them yet. This was last year. I really would like to get copies of these patterns if at all possible and I would greatly appreciate anyone's help in getting copies of the directions again. I would like to make some for gifts for this Christmas and Easter.
