Subject: Introduction

Hi been trying to get on here and I've succeeded. Well I've slowly being going mad for 5 years now. Started off losing balance, transient blurred vision, neck pain. GP put me on Prozac as I was just so exhausted. Got eyes tested Optician gave me glasses for work and reading. I started to get gloopy leg days where I found it hard to walk.My righr arm had shaken on and off for a couple of years but I didn't think anything of it.Jan 98 started to get a black shadow over left eye, left it a week, went to my GP who sent me straight to hospital. Lots of eye tests done, asked to go back in morning ti see eye Specialist. He thought I had a brain tumour so arranged a cat scan. Then My walking got terrible and I ende up in another hospital. I was admitted with demylination and was told I would get steroids for eye, didn't get them. I was sent home and told to contact Social Services. My vision got worse and I could only see the right side of peoples faces. In the March I had an MRI of brain, which was normal.I've seen Neuro 4 times now, vep confirmed the ON but with the other symptoms I,ve had says it;s not MS.I get tingling in my back, buzzing in groin area and feet, tremor in left shoulder, can't cope with temperature changes, I get awful shivering attacks. I've also just been in hospital due to awful shaking, everytime I tried to walk I would just shake.I get tired very quickly and some days really struggle to walk.Other Doctors think It is MS including my GP as I have hyperreflexes and clonus. My neck hurts all of the time and I find it so hard to sit up straight, I was x-rayed to check for spondylosis, but it was fine. I had to leave work 2 years ago as physically my body couldn't handle it, I told my Neuro I couldn't see the numbers at work to do the accounting. His reply was IF you can't see to do it, then you can't do it. Mentally not working hasn't helped, I won't go out alone because of my vision and walking, I can't cope with crowds of people at all.
Well I think I've gone on long enough, nice to meet you all and looking forward to talking to you, love Jacqui.
