My first neuro asked me why I thought I had ms, and when I told him I'd been reading all kinds of health material on the computer, he said "you shouldn't read so much stuff on the internet". (After my mri, he admitted I'd probably been right). My ms specialist asked me "why would you want to have ms?" Geez of course I don't want ms, I just wanted some kind of diagnosis!! He told me to go home and relax, don't think about it, and call somebody else if any new symptoms come up. This was about a year after my symptoms had started.
