Hello Everyone!! What a great idea this forum was. I too am in limboland. About 8 years ago I started with what could be restless leg syndrome.
Only my left leg would bother me and only every 8 months or so. 4 years ago I started having weakness in my legs. Couldn't walk up the slightest
incline or stairs at times due to heavyness and weakness of legs.
This feeling would come and go. To date, I know have this feeling in the right leg also. At night my toes, feet and legs would move by themselves.
This would be accompanied by awful feelings in my leg, and sometimes burning. About a week ago, both legs bothered me at night at the same time,
with excrutiating burning in right leg and foot.Whenever I get this, it usually last for 3 or 4 nights. Once it lasted for 3 weeks! Thought I would go out
of my mind due to lack of sleep.
One night I woke up blimd in right eye. I was fine by morning.
Also during the night, I get numbness in my head, accompanied by a buzzing sound.
My right ear goes completely deaf ocassionally, with ringing. Usually lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.
Vision goes blurry when I try to read after a shower or when I am tired.
Tremor of left index finger only when I move it, and this worsens after a shower and then the right finger starts to tremble after a shower too.
Had buzzing twice in right leg for a short time, and a feeling that my legs were no longer attached to my body.
All blood work normal, negative mri of brain and spine. Neuro says I have spacticity in left leg, hyper reflexes and no movement of toes when he
scratched my foot.
Currently on 300mgs of neurontin, not helping with my legs.
Have to go back to him in Sept. He wants me to have a spinal tap. Other symptoms too, but I don't want to take up anymore of your time.
I am sorry for this long post but I needed to vent and I want to thank everyone for letting me join your group.
