Subject: To Serya re: radiologists

Hi Serya

Hope you are having a good weekend. Just got on today and seen your post. I don't know if I can answer your question because MRI at the hospital has their own department. But I have heard from regular doctors that an xray was read by two different radiologists and they both had different interpretation of the results. That happened last week that I got a call from a doctor and she wanted to talk to the rad that read it.

So I am fairly sure that it just depends on the rad that reads it and the doctor who orders it may agree or disagree. I am more apt to believe the rad because that is what they are trained to do and some doctors are not good at reading xrays.

Of course than you get into some rads are better at reading MRI's compared to regular CT's or Ultrasounds. If I was you I would believe the one that said about the lesions maybe they were so small that they don't concern your doctor but they are there so there has to be a problem.

Hope this helps some..
Sharron
