> Denise:I am sorry to hear how the Dr. treated you.
My reflexes have been quite normal at times and then boom ...the next time they check me they're all wild again.
Even if the neuro exam was normal he had no right to tell you it was all caused by emotional problems. People who are dx'd with MS (and probably lots of other diseases that are bizarre) are often sent to pschologists , psychiatrists etc etc before they get a DX. I was diagnosed with depression, put on antidepressants and given a referral to a psychologist ..............then my arm and leg went numb.
Luckily....I met someone that I could talk to, that helped me cope with all the tests, uncertainty and scepticism.
Ironically she is the one that assures me that my symptoms are not emotionally based .........because listening is her job. This cloud may have a silver lining ? Perhaps talking to someone in the medical field who will listen will help get answers for you? A psychiatrist is an MD too so maybe you can get a referral from him/her to a GP who will listen?
Take Care
