Do yourself a favor & don't order contracts on line! Try to get a copy of a contract currently in use by a sitter in your state, then make your own modifications. Many areas have a legal aid which can look over contracts at a reasonable price. Remember that a contract is held up most strictly against the author, so don't be afraid to add any clauses you feel necessary. Also, if you have a regular tax preparer they can help you with what you'll need to keep track of for taxes. Get your business license first thing so that you can deduct everything you're entiteled to. Even your trips to get your forms printed can be deducted if you keep track of all your milage right from the start! I deduct my car, part of my house payment & insurance, utilities & internet charges, you name it! just write EVERYTHING DOWN somewhere. Patti's book should help you alot. ~Sandi~
