INTERESTING! I cannot imagine doing that although I can logically understand why she does it. We do accept certain risks but take a very, very thorough telephone interview and if I was that concern I would just decline and not bother.
It sounds to me like she may have had bad experiences. I doubt clients take to that inquistion very well...I would not.
