You'll never believe it...I live right here in the sunshine state! I am fortune in that I do not "need" this income to survive on, not that I am wealthy, but I am comfortable. I know so many of the sitters in my immediate area who must live on there pet sitting income and I have seen that they will sell themselves short as far as pricing is concerned.I see this time and again. I find it fasinating and think of that old adage: "You get what you expect in life".
I do not accept everyone and do not get every client for that reason and this is how buiness is suppose to be. I expect a higher quality client, not necessarily wealthy but those who value their pets and will foot the bill.
I also know of a several sitters that charge this rate here on the east coast of Florida, so many people are paying for this.
