well, nan, i'll tell ya--it's like this...i love it. the dogs seem to love it also. their people tell me that on the car ride to my house there is a point when the dog[s] realize where they are going and get so excited; crying, barking and carrying on. when they arrive the dogs hit the front door running and once they're in the house it's right to the backdoor and into the backyard.

more to the point a lot of people cannot conceive or visualize how so many dogs can be together without supervision and not kill each other. i have found that the majority of the time they all sleep while i am away. some stay outside--some inside--some upstairs and if necessary some in the kitchen. there are more problems when i get home, jealousy rears its ugly head, with them vying for my attention and wanting to be fed than when i am not home.

every dog must come for an interview. they must be spayed/neutered and updated on all shots. i will not watch a dog without that interview. there have been occasions where a dog has come for its interview and stayed that same night because the people waited till the last minute to make arrangements. i don't know what they would have done if the dogs hadn't gotten along. once a dog has stayed here i'm pretty well assured of a boarder for life.

a rather lengthy answer to your curiosity but you know us animal lovers...we do tend to go on about our favorite subject. oh by the way i also watch cats and have watched one fish.
