I found a fairly extensive site for the Kaiserliche Marine-Infanterie (which had two of its three Seebattalions in the MarineKorps Flandern) at http://www.marine-infanterie.de/.

I think Luftwaffe General Hermann-Bernhard Ramcke talks about his days in the 2. Matrosenregiment in his memoirs. He joined the Kaiserliche Marine as a Schiffjunge in 1905 and was commissioned into the Kaiserliche Marine-Infanterie in 1918, tranferring into the Heer in 1919 when the Marine-Infanterie was disbanded and then into the Luftwaffe in 1940.
