Dear Johan,

Many thanks for your thoughts regarding the newspaper article. I have read though many nespaper articles at the british Newspaper library regarding the Zeebrugge and much of it is propaganda and bogus. My aim in my research is to go beyond what has already been written. The question of German casualties is still a mystery. When I visited Zeebrugge Churchyard I counted only Seven German graves relating to 23 April 1918. For the British Zeebrugge was a massacre. For the Germans statione don the Mole it must have been a terrifying ordeal to be exposed from British and German fire.

I hope to complete my book in the summer 2005 and will keep in touch to let you know of progress.

Thanks for your help.

Best wishes

Paul
