I have a ford Galaxy 2.8 V6 and after a recent service the engine will occasionally rev itself without my intervention. I can be travelling along doing about 30mph and the engine will repeatedly rev up another few hundred revs causing the car to accelerate. If I accelerate or come off the accelerator it stops.
