 As most of you who drop in on the Florida hunting coalitions Forum will see that you can not and will not ever get along with everyone. I myself know this but can tell that alot of people do not like to hear other hunters opinions on certain subjects.

I am very open with my views and for that I get alot of harsh emails, and alot of name calling but hey if I wasn't steping on peoples toes all the time then it would be just another subject. Anyway it does not bother me, in fact it just gets me going more! On with the Show!or hunting!

I just finished reading another article out of the Lake Sentinel about a reader who hates Dog hunters. The thing I hate about this is that they (Dog Hunters) are giving all hunters a bad name. The public in general has know idea the difference between dog hunters and still hunters they just views us as hunters and when one group screws up then we all have to bite the pie. The article was about how there were a bunch of hunting dogs dead on the side of the road in the Ocala national Forest and how the HUNTERS just leave there dogs and garbage everywhere in the forest. Now most of us hunters don't do this and in fact I will pick up garbage in my area from time to time just tto clean it up!

Certain groups would say that this article is a threat to all hunters in which they are right but something's have to change! Dog hunting is a heritage that should be part of all of our Hunting history. My Grandfather Dog Hunted in Georgia, My dad Dog Hunted when he was a kid but luckly he found out soon that Dog Hunting is not Hunting. I have been Dog Hunting a couple of times and it just is not hunting but, that is my opinion!

I do think the State of Florida should ban Dog Hunting on land owned by the State. And if Dogs are used on private land then that land should have enough area that the Surrounding property is not trespased on. There should even be a 500 FT buffer zone on that private land if Dogs are going to be used. Alot of Private land owners will not lease land to Dog hunters because of the liablity and complants from surrounding land owners about trespassing. Times have changed folks and dog Hunting needs to go!!
