If you care about hunting opportunities on SJRMD land (public land) then this is a meeting that you should attend.

PUBLIC INVITED TO DISTRICT RECREATION ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 9, 2000 - The public is invited to participate in the semiannual meeting of the St. Johns River Water Management District's northern region Recreation Advisory Council.
The meeting will be held from 9:30 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, March 20, at the Mizell Meeting House, located three miles south of Hilliard off U.S. 1 in Nassau County.
The District acquires lands to provide flood protection, protect water supplies, restore and preserve water bodies, maintain wildlife habitats and provide compatible recreational opportunities to the public.
The council, comprised of representatives from state and local government and recreational user groups, offers recommendations on public use issues related to District land in Alachua, Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Marion, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties.
District staff members will provide updates on the hunt program and land management and acquisition activities. Members of the public also will have an opportunity to comment on recreational issues involving District lands.
