Það eru til margir forritunarstaðlar fyrir C++ og margir þeirra segja til um skjölun (sjá t.d. http://www.cs.umd.edu/users/cml/cstyle/).
Aðalatriðið fyrir mér er að forritunin sé skýr og athugasemdirnar styðji það. Ef það er t.d. útfærð flókin
aðferð fyrir tölvunar til að leika leik (gervigreind), þá ætti jafnvel að útskýra hana í sérskjali á háu plani
frekar en að reyna að reyna að skrifa einstakar athugasemdir til að lýsa henni.
