Indeed a warm welcome to Miss T.

Now to my point for the week. Where do these folks who keep re-electing the cads in the house think the money comes from for that fridge, washer & dryer or driveway/road paving? The cost of the massive pre-election roads paving alone can almost account for the current budget deficit! WAKE UP!!

It never ceases to amaze me how this keeps on going in this day & time. I proposed as a Constitutional issue the requirement that elected officials, and indeed candidates as well be required to file an audited financial statement with the clerk of the LA, prior to being allowed to run for office. It received a less than warm reception by the commissioners. How else are we to root out the rampant corruption in our electoral process? Who else thinks that the amount spent on the 2000 elections had to be 10X to 100X the legal allowance for a candidate? Just in the TV ads alone, and I checked the cost, there was more than the legal amount spent for many candidates, including the "teams" combined allowances. Are we so dumb and blind that we cannot see this? The media houses should be required to disclose the amount received from each candidate as well. Then we could all see the abuses in black & white.

Wake up, my people and smell the absinthe!
