Hello miss t, I just found this forum. It is good to have a place where we can talk freely and discuss the issues of the day. I'm a 28 years old office professional educated in Canada and the UK, who is very concerned about the direction this country is headed. I am waiting to start a family, as I have serious doubts as to even my own future here. I don't want to have children when their future is not clear. I know of many others my age who feel similarly. I'm still renting at present due to the high cost of housing and mortgages.

Yes, it is almost a certainty that the present gov't would not be promoting the new port if there wasn't a huge personal gain to be made. What puzzles me is why the lessons of history are being ignored. The present port and fuel storage locations were chosen because they are the most sensible in light of prevailing weather conditions. Can you imagine that we would have to wait for weeks to receive the grocery items that often get delayed by a day or two under the current system. This is absolutely foolish to even consider a port so far in the hinterlands, when all the goods would then have to be trucked back to where they should have been landed in the first place! The sand isn't where they have their heads!

Let's try to spread the word about this sight and make it a more busy place. I certainly will continue to participate here.
