I am interested in training but don't know of any places to get my feet wet in Fayettville. If anyone could help me out, it would be appreciated.

I have used some of the links on this site to get an idea of where to go, but if anyone knows of any where in Fayettville, I would appreciate it.

Thanks a lot.

Geoff

Team ROC has a place in Fayetteville. Aitor Spencer Canup teaches there. He is an active MMA fighter and a brown belt under the Royce network. You can expect great BJJ and Muay Thai here.

CCI Martial Arts is also in fayetteville. They have a pretty solid group as well. They mainly teach BJJ and JJJ but, if I remember correctly, they also have Combat Sambo and Shootfighting programs. I am not sure if they teach these seperately or if they combine them with their existing programs. The BJJ instructor is a brown under Carlos Machado.

Academy of Christian MA has Tang Soo Do, BJJ, Combatives, and Freestyle JJ. The instructor there is a blue under Royce and is plugged into the AAU JJ and Grappling scene.

Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg Judo trains out of the police training center. They have a big group of black blets teaching there. I had a friend who was posted on bragg a while back and he trained with them off and on. He said they were a really good group of people. They did a lot of randori and even had some guys with sombo backgrounds working there. Best of all it's FREE! I think you just have to pay a yearly insurance fee.

The other place I know of is Rafie's Dojo. They do shotokan karate and judo. The contact info is listed below. I don't think they have a website.

Pine Forest Recreation Center Ramsey St 6737 or
175 Circle Dr Stedman, NC Fayetteville, NC 28311 USA
910 436-0486

I hope this helps you out. God bless.

Steve
