Im 19 year's old from winston -salem
Ive graduated from high school [GED]
And tried the whole college thing, and ive done the "normal" job,but honestly the ONLY thing to ever interest me is fighting, ive done professional wreslting for the NWA for awhile, but that wasnt the same.im currently takeing kung-fu and soon to start takeing jiu jitsu.I love to fight, when i was younger...i got into alot of fights..but as ive grown older and mature'd ive learned not to fight out of anger.I would love to start fighting as a occupation.

What are the step's i should do,to get into MMA.
Also...some traning facilities can get quite expensive.
I do not have alot of money to spare.

Well, I personally think you should expect to pay at least 80-100+/month for a full time training facility that can PROPERLY prepare you for MMA competiton. You should expect to train AT LEAST one year before your first amatuer fight. Do those things and then see where you go.

If you do like alot of guys want to do, train half assed with buds, take fights with out a base of fundamentals and without a person between you and promoters, its a MUCH tougher road to go down. There are several good places in your area. My advice is bite the bullet and pay a bit more for a full time facility dedicated (meaning with people who have established skills and experience in MMA) at least to the cornerstones of MMA.

Even 100+/month is less than most people's cable bill. If you are serious about training and train at least 5 days/week 2-3 hours/day you get your money's worth any way.

Another bit of advice, where ever you go be humble and realistic. You are going to get tooled by guys who have been training a while. This is supposed to happen. Stick with it and it will change fairly quickly.

IF you have an idea you could come off the street and have sponsors/not have to work and get great training and hit the ground running in MMA, the bad news is this is what we call paying dues. Where you work at a job you may or may not like, rush home and then spend every evening in gym for hours and have little in the way of social life. Wash rinse and repeat. If you are going to have success in MMA at a professional level, that will probably be your routine for a couple years as you get your legs under you as an Ammy. The good news is if a are a GOOD pro you can get sponsorship, and there are more and more locals looking to sponsor guys these days as MMA grows in popularity. But if you rush to fight pro and dont spend some time getting solid fundamentals as an ammy, you are very unlikely to go past $200 fights, or to win many as a pro.
