It is tough to put on a event keep one going and keep everyone happy.

I remember when every one was saying, we need more events, we need more events, but even when you throw a good but small event, and everyone is happy. Getting them to come out to the next one can be a problem. To really get a good events going you have to have suport from Local schools, in the area. And doing events here the support is not there. We all say im not going to that event it is ran buy so-n-so. I think like to think that the sport should start from the gound up,i have said this over and over. but Not one school has taken or anyone else up on starting a circuit where 8 to 10 schools come together and each sponsor one small in house event. i have done several in house events and people have loved them, and every school helps in the other schools. run it in low espense like $5-$10 for competing, every coach brings a team that was pre-reg with walking weights, you would be on your honor system. I think more students would compete in a freindly in house circuit event then in a big event. but i dont know anything really.

James, this is the type of idea i am looking for. I really like this idea. It would be great leading up to tournaments and most schools could do this. I think this would lead to nice little rivalries that would carry into the bigger tournaments, and maybe more team competition could be established as well. Everyone reading this forum should tell their school its time for this. Its no time like the present to get this started. Can you imagine how much better your BJJ could get. A little friendly competition, great comment James.
