i trained w/ Luis Togno for several years... i was already a high blue when i started... i had already competed many times and won... Before i trained w/ Luis i lived and trained in California at the Ralph Gracie Academy of Modesto under Dan and then Dave Camirillo... Now i am a brown belt and a member of Team Hurst... training w/ Luis was a very positive experience for me... he became like a brother to me and i credit him for helping to develop my game... NO ONE has spent as much mat time rolling w/ Luis than i have... Many, many times we were still rolling while the guys would bleach the mats around us (leaving just enough room) then they would change, and leave as we would continue rolling... since i spent more time on the mats w/ him than anyone else, i feel that it's my responsibility to give him the credit deserved... as far as you guys saying he's not a good fighter and he's not technical, you're out of your freakin mind... Luis is one of the most technical instructors i have ever seen... always quick to spot "the little things" that make a technique work... i've also watched Luis roll w/ other purple, brown, black belts, Vale Tudo Champs, NCAA wrestlers, Judo BB's and i've never once seen him even in trouble! the only way i can describe it is relaxed domination... Luis has trained/ many, many times w/ Jacare and rolled w/ his BB's... Jacare has endorsed Luis' Black Belt Certificate so your lineage is safe... Luis and i parted ways in the BJJ world w/ a promise to always remain friends... Currently i have found a new home and my final destination training under the tutilage of Black Belt Joe Hurst, another excellent Black Belt instructor and good friend... too many of you guys on here are letting your mouth write checks that your Butts can't cash...
