RETURN OF THE E V T(ELITE VALE TUDO)
It was Saturday night July 22 2006 and the adrenaline was high.Danville Va.(crossings of the Dan)was the place to be!I was working the door along with Kent Eanes and the house was packed,it was exciting to be a part of the event even if I was just a doorman. All of the fighter were on their best behavior, but then again they always are, they are trained atheletes not hoodlums.Since the reality show "THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER",the public has been introduced to NHB.Lots of people would have never known the words VALE-TUDO could be so exciting. The audience was super charged. As I watched the crowd I could hear advice being shouted to the fighters from people that didn't know them personally butwas in the ring with them at heart during the fight.I threw my own voice away as our own Marcus Thomas stepped into the ring. The event had a variety of martial artist in the audience from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,Boxing,Muay Thai, Karate, wrestling you name it was there.I really enjoyed the whole night from submissions to TKO's all the fighters did a great job and the referee's made sure the fighters safety was first.
I would like to thank Brent and Stacey Pierce,Jason Culbreth and allinvolved for putting on a great show so the atheletes could display their skill, with out a doubt one of the best atheletes there was the ring announcer Lee Johnson(TEAM ROC EDEN)NC State trooper.

Thanks to all the fighters for putting it on the line, all the people behind the scenes setting up the ring and gettin the place ready for the nights event, all the vendors and most of all THE FANS for showing their support,I cant wait until the next one!

THANKS
Big Gary(TEAM ROC EDEN)

So does anyone know if there is a set date for the next event? I'd like to fight again.

Yeap the next EVT is Nov 11th and the Averrett University Gym. This is an awesome venue. We are really going to try to step up the audience and make sure folks have a seat as well as some A/C :-)
