Well last night we wrapped up another fantastic Elite Vale Tudo in Danville, VA. This was a new facility and it served us well. The time the EVT was held at the Averett University Grant Athletic and Convocation center. We just wanted to say thanks to the fighters, Trainers and the fans for thier continued support. The fighters are really what make these things happen and we can't thank them enough. In the next day or two more information and pictures will be up at www.elitevaletudo.com

Now for the results.

In an exhibition grappling match 2 youths from Odyssey Martial Arts got things started.

Christopher Snipes vs. Zach Henehan (Draw)

Jim Carey(Team-Roc Charlotte) defeats Andrew Courtney (Deleware Grapplers) Via Armbar 0:35 1st Rd.

Lee Johnson (Team-ROC Eden) defeats Tony Crowder (Fighting Arts Training Center) Via Punches from the mount 1:24 of rd. 2.

Jason Kwast(Team-ROC Fayetteville) defeats Nicholas Blessar (Star City Fight Club) Via Rear Naked Choke 1:20 rd 1.

Exhibition Match with Alex Taylor defeats Dylan Brooks via Armbar 4:29 rd 1. (These two guys showed great skill and promise. I personally and looking forward to seeing great things out of these standout grapplers from Odyssey Martial Arts)

Jeremy Willis(Team-ROC Eden) defeats Anthony Redd(Team One) via Rean Naked Choke 2:22 rd 2.

Mickey Manfredi(Team One) defeats Matt Hague(LDMA) via TKO stoppage 0:57 rd 1.

Scott Haulter(American Martial Arts System) defeats Chad Tyler(Pendergrass Academy of Martial Arts) Via TKO stoppage 1:45 rd 1.

Dwayne Taylor(Raleigh Wing Chun School) defeats Brent Wilson(Elite Combat Martial Arts) via KO :14 rd 1.

The main event turned out to be just that. It pitted Marcus Thomas(Team-ROC Eden) against Roger Carroll(American Superior Jiu-Jitsu) The match started with Marcus unloading some heavy blows. The two guys entered into a clinch where Marcus did a fantastic throw landing side mount. Roger quickly recovered guard and began submission attempts with Marcus throwing some heavy ground and pound. The two returned to their feet with Marcus again throwing Roger. Again Roger recovered guard and began a triangle attempt. Marcus picks up Roger and slams him twice to try and break the triangle only to find it tighter and is forced to tap. A great showing by both competitors. WINNER: Roger Carroll via Triangle 1:22 or rd 1.

Besure to check out www.elitevaletudo.com for a more indepth write up, pictures and news about upcomming events.

Thanks guys. We really stepped it up with the venue so that everyone can see without having to stand all night. I hope it worked out for everyone. Can't wait for the next event. We are already starting the planning so let us know if you are interested in fighting.
