I've also trained with Rickson, Pedro, Carlos machado, Ralph Gracie just to name a few...and still do from time to time. Getting a blue belt with Rickson is no big deal. But you was good and you can't say that Luis didn't help you improve. Cause even your brother and the rest of the guys saw how much you improved hell I did!!! you was his little side kick... but he did help you learn. and thats the facts. You also failed to mention to the rest of the forum that Luis would drive 3 hrs to go teach you guys almost every other week end. And you know why he stopped teaching in Raleigh, because him and Frank had a falling out...or did you forget, Frank got pissed because he sat at a restuarant while the rest of you went with Luis and Carlos lemos to another restuarant then to a strip club...By the way Luis didn't give me no low down on you guys...I remember you guys when you guys would come to statesville to train...remember the oriental girl that we took pix of rolling ( cristina )or did you forget about that too...so hows your Brother,hahaha? we all had good times training with Luis... No need to bash him if you don't want to train with him... to each his own. You now whats kinda funny, Luis still talks so highly of you and your brother and how technical you guys were... Mr. technition, was it not...thats what he use to call you...so did you finally get your purple? If you did. Congrats...Luis never did any thing to you guys but try to help your game...and you know thats the truth, he would answer and show you whatever you wanted to know. You can call him at any hour of the night and he'll be there to answer your question or help you with a problem if thats the case... Ya he likes to party and have fun, ya he's a little crazy for some peoples taste but all in all he's a great guy thats willing to help anyone if he can... I dont know what to make of the dog story; but I do know a guy who trained with him alot. The guy was impressd at first, then he trained with some other black belts like Alameida and Lemos and really felt there was a HUGE gap in the prowess of those guys and Tognos. Now I could care less if he is a black blet or not, but I never see any of his guys compete or fight in MMA. Guy made alot of good points, and I think glossing over his point blank questions with crap like "he is such a great guy" is a major dodge. A guy who considers training with him is entitled to ask his questions too. Only a fool blindly accepts what he is given from one source. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
