Subject: Why you should vote Libertarian

I know this isn't a politics forum, but this seems relevant. Considering recent actions in NC (see the situation with Anthony Huss and the Boxing Commission) and West Virginia (see the most recent issue of Grappling magazine for details), I wanted to point something out for those of you who might not be familiar.

If you are posting / reading here, chances are you support MMA and grappling and related sports. However, our government has shown that they are willing to trample all over our individual freedoms and rights, in attempting to prohibit us from participating in our sports of choice.

This goverment is currently dominated by members of two parties: Democrat and Republican. Neither group gives a fck about your freedoms. However, there is an alternative some of you might be interested in. The Libertarian Party is the most "pro freedom" political party around. We absolutely support the rights of free, sovereign individuals to do whatever they want, with or to each other. Basically the Libertarian position can be summed up as "You can do whatever you want, as long as you don't violate anybody else's rights."

I can guarantee you that Libertarian representatives in the NC House and Senate would not support government regulation of boxing, MMA, grappling etc.

Anybody who is intrigued by this, please visit http://www.lp.org (National party site) or http://www.lpnc.org (NC LP site) and read our position papers, platform, etc., and consider supporting Libertarian candidates in the future. We are the only party who are truly committed to protecting your rights.

Phil R.
