I agree with tapuout247. BJJ is becoming AJJ real fast. The brazilians, don't have as much control as they use too, and it hurts there pockets. Grapplers Quest, and NAGA and other events like those are the future of grappling in the USA. Certain GQ and Naga events have had twice as many people there competing as did the Pan Ams here in the USA. Just a way for Brazilians to try and take some sort of control back to tournaments in America. Don't get me wrong, i like Brazilians and have alot of Brazilian friends, but we all know how they like money. Hell i like money too, who doesn't.
Trying to start a federation in NC is a waste of time in my opinion. Too many politics. No one has ever really supported Togno's federation, except for a few schools, it will be the same way with the new federation.
Joe, i may have missed this in a earlier post not sure, but what are the cost gonna be for all these things, cards? getting your school recognized as part of the federation's legit schools? cost of partipating in these federation events, do you have to sign up to become a member of the federation like you do in brazil for a additional cost, on top of the tournament registration fee's?
Just curious, or is it gonna be free for these things, if so great.
Just my opinion.
