Am I the only one that ignores the Ignorant on this Forum, when it comes to the threats against ones personal abilities to teach?

Joe it hasn’t been too long since I also was questioned on my abilities as an institutor. And a threat was made that someone was going to make a trip to a certain academy, to test my abilities. Well did I respond, nope and a few would consider me to be a coward for not responding, but I let all my friends know it was me that was questioned, I didn’t care, see remember the old poem?

“Those who know me know me well; those who don’t can go to hell.”

And also the word ignorant don’t mean stupid it means “not informed” per the Webster dictionary.

Take a chill pill dude and join the club.

And about this political things going around, in BJJ and AJJ well every dog has its day, and when my students mature, and kick everyone’s asses, (BJJ black belt and otherwise) then what else will be said, probably alot.

Later guys

“Those who know me know me well; those who don’t can go to hell.”

Spoken like a true backwoods philosopher. Welcome to the club, James.

As far as politics go, I feel like most people really get turned of by it. Look what has happened to other great sports. For instance, take a look at the American Sombo community. It is just now making a small comeback through group like the American Sambo Assn but just 2 years ago there were virtually no decent Sambo/Sombo organizations in the USA. Even the AAU dumped the sombo program it had due to internal bickering among its organization.

If we could just have groups that were TRULY "non-political", then everything would work a lot better. Most groups nowadays only want to fill their pockets with greenbacks. They boycott organizations that do not share their agenda. There is nothing wrong with making money. I mean, everybody has to eat. But I think it's stupid to be involved with something that intends to discredit or damage the reputations of other groups.

Like TAPUOut247 made in another post. The MAT tells all. If a group isn't legit then we'll all soon find out. Thats the truth, fellas.

I'm not saying anyone is right or anyone is wrong in these Martial Arts organizations. Everyone has a difference of opinion. However, we all need to keep common goals in mind. Specifically, we need to work to have our sport promoted in a positive light. If we work TOGETHER, we can do that.

I like the open style organizations. But that's just me. I think that quality open style, non political based organizations are the way to the future of MMA worldwide. Virtually everyone in our respective field in crosstraining now. It would only make sense to have more of these organizations.

My $0.02. God bless y'all.

Steve

Hey Steve we didn't call it Redneck Jiu-jitsu for nothing!!!

You don't know the times i have said that after at a tournament someone would ask me who we are under, this was before i got under royce gracie, and I would be proud to say no one.

on time my guys and girls ran in to steve gumpton's kids at franks first BJJ Jr Nationals, he asked the same, then told me my kids were the best he has ever seen, he asked me well then what style? i told "I guess "redneck Jiu-Jitsu" we got a laugh out of it."

guys you have to have fun with this, and respect the guys on the mat no matter what style belt they have on.
