'Species': Human/wizard
Appearance: Shian is of medium height and strong physical build. A single violet stripe runs down the right side of her ebony hair which reaches past her waist and is often left that way. Her eyes are a deep violet as well; one would not want to be caught gazing into them for too long. She has a fair face with high cheek bones and smooth, lightly tanned skin, and she often adorns her ears with silver jewelery. Around her left eye are odd markings that few know the meaning of and so can only guess; the most common rumour is that they give her added power. She wears a violet silken shirt and ebony pants. Brown boots encase her feet up to her ankles. She bears with her a staff made of silver birch wood with an amethyst gem atop it.

She is rarely seen without her two companions; a white horse and an odd white winged cat; each share the same violet stripe on the right side of their head as their mistress. The mare is named Snowtracker; the cat Nie.

Past: Shian's past was a rather unpleasent one (I don't think I've read a happy past on here yet *g*). She was kept captive in her room for most of her childhood, with only magic textbooks to keep her company. One evening when she got dreadfully bored, she decided to make herself a companion, and this was how Nie came into existance. Created from a lock of Shian's hair (one of the odd violet strands), Nie became her faithful friend for life. Several years after the creation of Nie, Shian became learned enough in the ways of magic to break free from her confinements. She escaped on Snowtracker; her mother's former horse that she made her own using a similar spell to that she used on Nie. With a pack full of magic books, she wondered the countryside, teaching herself in the ways of wizardry and generally avoiding all others besides her self-made friends for fear that she would be turned in to her parents.

Nothing of the sort happened, however. Shian's parents never saught her out; in fact they barely noticed her dissapearence. It is only recently that she has learned this and is ready to come out of hiding; perhaps stay in Isengard a while to learn more of her magic.
