Subject: Something to Think About

As a twenty-something Psychology student, I feel bound to respond to some of the words I have come across on this website. I cannot simply turn my head the other way when I witness such self-destructive behaviour in teenage girls. I came across this website while my sister was on the internet, and as I read, I became more compelled to do something about it. I once was your age, and I remember a time when my biggest problem was figuring out which party was going to be "the best" or who I was going to get high with this weekend. I also remember waking up in the middle of the night no longer a virgin because I misjudged someone's character. I can probably throw stories out at you until I'm blue in the face, and you still will think I'm some old "bitch" who just wants to put my two-cents in, but that is the farthest thing from my mind. I see too many pregnant teenagers and young mothers walking their children up and down the streets at 11 pm looking to score. I honestly hope nothing like that happens to any of you, because you are simply too young to realize that what you are doing is not considered cool. My biggest problems now are trying to figure out where I'm going to get next months rent, or if I can survive off jelly beans because that's all I can afford. High school is not easy, but once you leave the protection of mom and dad's house, it's even worse. Trust me girls, these guys really don't care about you, and probably care even less about their girlfriends. Thats what being a teenage guy is all about. I truly hope that you are at least protecting yourselves while having sex with random partners....and at least care enough about yourselves to keep the numbers as low as possible...Again, I am totally in shock...I hope my "two-cents" reaches just one of you.
