I'd like to take a moment to be one of the guys here...

Jimmy Thome...I'm sure it was a difficult decision. That much was clear from his emotional press conference. Still, I was incredibly disappointed, shocked, rejected, and let down. But, I'll live. I don't believe that he left Cleveland because he thought he would have a better chance of winning in Philly. If that were true, then he contradicted that by saying something to the effect of, "If Cleveland had offered me a sixth year, guaranteed, then I would have taken less money to stay there." Suddenly, winning wasn't so important, Jimmy? And I guess being a "lifetime Indian" lost some importance to him along the way too (where have all the Tony Gwynns gone?). He can spin it any way he wants to now, but I'm not buying what he is selling (not that I could afford it anyway). I do agree that Mark Shapiro and Mr. Dolan would have been perfectly happy with his decision either way. I am satisfied with the Indians' offer. I thought it was pretty fair. Life goes on...I still have a team... A young, exciting team. I'll still "Wait 'til next year." And at least I won't have to worry myself with the finances of Mr. Thome anymore, whew! Thome Watch was exhausting! /me wonders who they will name the Home Run Porch after now? (((((((( Coco Crisp ))))))))

And now, please allow me to enlighten everyone with the REAL reason that Jim Thome left...

Albert Belle wants to own the Indians. /msg Jimmy Thome... Take me with you, PLEASE! No, wait... Philly isn't far enough away for me!

Wow @ someone other than me posting something about the Cavaliers... Their problems go even beyond what you can see in 15-game losing streaks. Juanny Wagner may be a solution. Or he may break his foot. At least they have Joe Tait :-)

Ohio State... Someone once told me that the good teams find a way to win. Maybe they haven't dominated every game... BUT, they ARE 12-0. That's something to be proud of. They beat "that team up North." That's something to be dar n proud of! At least I have been kept entertained this season. I just hope when it's all said and done, that my state is still in one piece... Go Bucks!!!

Thanks for letting me weigh in/rant/vent/share...and thanks for the vine...oh wait, that is an entirely different forum altogether... Whoops!

Love Always,
~Kathy.
