Thanks for that article, Mr. (or Mrs.) Everywhere.

When MLB decided to retire Jackie Robinson's number for every team, I always thought it would have been more fitting for the NL to retire Robinson's number, and the AL to retire Doby's number. Their entrances into MLB were only separated by 11 weeks, but you hardly ever heard of Doby. Their career OPS's were almost identical.
