Hey, you could do both things. Going to the town hall for the records on the house would probably give you a wider option in what to search for when it came to names and areas of the city way back when.
Once you have all that information, you can come back to your computer and type in a local search, if you have that option, or a internet wide search and hope to narrow it down with what you have learned.
It is hard to look up specfic information when it comes to looking up one single house in a place at a certain time, for there is already so much out there.
