I have hade simalar experiances. and I have learned you cant really stop the poltragists or paranormal activity, but you can slow it down. i believe there might be a number of spirits in your home not at rest. to stop the activities in your home you alone have to put the spirits to rest.why it is you is because the spirits are opening themselves to you.you need to try to talk to the spirits nomatter how hard or scarry it might be.once the spirits are at rest yor level of stress could go down.
