Subject: NEWS EVERYONE READ THIS

Ok there are a few things I am changing or doing or whatnot that I'm going to tell you here. Once you have read this, please reply with a simple message saying "yes" or something so I know... this is also a sort of activity check.

1. Ok, first of all, from now on when you type with html, can you please close it? Otherwise it messes the whole board up.

2. I am taking away the section "mares we have lost" because its just depressing (lol). If a mare dies or gives cause of a loss, I'll bring it back, but instead I will be changing it to a new subject, which brings me to #3>>>

3. That section will now be called "Roleplayers of the Month". Every month I'll pick a few of the best roleplayers in the harem, and they will get the honour of being up there. After the news I'm going to write a brief tutorial on how to improve your roleplaying, or rather, what I'm looking for. It's mostly to encourage good writing and extensive vocab. : )

4. If you are active, there are 2 things that can happen to you. You may be moved up a rank, or you will stay as you are. If you are unactive, three things can happen. You may stay where you are, you may be moved lower in rank as others are placed above you, OR you will be placed under "other herd members". This is NOT a bad position! You are still a cherished member of the herd, but that way people who ARE active have a good chance of getting the rank they deserve. ^_^

5. Pics? Gimme the link an' I'll put it up...

Now for the quick roleplaying thing:

Ok. What I am looking for in a good roleplayer, and what you can use to improve are a few basic things:

- Vocab. There are so many words out there, why use dull ones? For neat words, a Thesarus comes in handy - most computers have them built in the word processor. There are also many words for simple things. 'Mare', for example. A mare could also be called a bruja, femme, femora, lorilie, etc! So look around, try and use the longer, weirder words when you can. It just sounds better. : )

- Punctuation and Spelling. Capitals and so on are usually necessary, though some roleplaying style have unique ways of working, so it won't be perfect for everyone.

- Length. Most good roleplayers post a long and detailed message, with vibrant, exagerated words, rather than short ones. It sounds better. ^_^

- Overall, time. Take your time! Look up good words, take the time to change the font to a funky color or style, check your punctuation, etc. All in all, it's worth it, because once you're done its neat to know just how good you are. Plus, you'll most likely get roleplayer o' the month!

That's about everything I have to say. Sorry if it sounded bossy... improving your writing is COMPLETELY your choice, and I just decided to give some pointers for those who are trying! ^_^

Sorry bout the html coz I don't always close it! I will try to close it all the time though. It's a good idea to get people to improve their rolepalying coz there are a few people who are really good at it! Devil's Revenge does have a pic but I need to upload it and I dunno why Summer Sun's pic doesn't show up coz it did when I posted it. did you put "url" or 'url' coz webshots only works if you use 'url' strange i know.

ooc--just to give out some pointers to peeps, I'm gonna post a message from another horse I play in a different game that I'm pretty proud of. It uses some good vocab and stuff like that...hope I'm not sounding like a B*TCH if I write this: oh and I understand the message :-)
