Hot afternoon, four very good goals (two for each side), horrendous pitch which was being cut with a small petrol mower when we arrived at 2pm - only managed to do a quarter of the pitch.

It was a far cry from the Mechs' pitch of a few seasons ago. Some of the play was good but in general it was a typical dour pre-season friendly.
