Dismal, depressing and humiliating - just three of many words to decribe most people's feelings following last night's debacle.

A stark contrast to the Skem' and Abbey Hey away games (but too much like the Salford home defeat) with more or less same players involved. Big hoof down field expecting miracles from the front two - Knowsley Road must be one of the biggest and best surfaces in the league - but our opening two games have seen only our opponents wanting to play any kind of passing football. On the few occasions we did pass the ball more than three or four times we caused them trouble!

Lack of passion and effort, especially in midfield against a Ramsbottom side who just worked very hard - no offence but Rammy weren't a good side! Unfortunately we seem to be making a habit of conceding spectacular goals - although last night's both came from some dire defending.

We will certainly need to improve if we are to progress in the FA Cup on Saturday - and I would say to the players - stand up and be counted or find another club.
