We are still less than forty eight hours after the event, and as this wasn't planned for, no-one was initially in mind. However, like most jobs there have been numerous enquiries. The directors have decided to accept only written applications - so as to not land ourselves in hot-water should a club take exception if we offer 'their' manager the job.

With fifteen league games to go and a League Cup semi-final we certainly won't be waiting until the end of the season, but only time will tell.

Incidentally, the NWCF League newsletter made mention of Congleton Town's manager Kevin Langley being in-line for the job - at this moment in time we have had no written application from him or anyone else.

What are your thoughts on who should get the job?
