Slender legs pick their way through thick vegetation; white, they are, and all but one with sprinklings 'pon the black further up. This one, the right fore, an ermine. Black alicorn tinged with gold gently parts the branches of the trees, as unicorn mare of brown coloration approaches. "I am Almase," are the words spoken.
This another unicorn, a mare as well, yet bay. Each slender leg is stockinged in white; her alicorn, too, is black with gold, and yet t'wards the base, red takes the place of aureate colour--but is this truly the alicorn, or a reflection of silken red pelt? She speaks. "My name is Amal."
And now, for a change. A pegasus, a stallion, silver in hue. In shape, he is, and well muscled. One word only is said: "Nazeem."
Another pegasus, this time a mare. Never has there been a more true shade of white; hooves of silver trot 'pon air, and wings convey her forth, silent as an owl. Her name is Bayda, meaning white; the knowledge merely appears in the minds of her fellow winged one, as well as the one beside her. Telepathy, her preferred form of communication.
Unicorn stallion of ebon hue steps forth. A sparkling of gold, directly above the muzzle, below the unicorn, obvious, never unobserved. Hooves of gold carry him forth to the leaders of the valley, and one word spoken: "Batal."
A shimmering of mist, is it? No. A winged creature, ghostly, and yet the practical mare's voice is not at all what you would expect from such a creature: "I'm Dirayat."
White is he, yet not as white as Bayda; short mane is lit with gold, and tail with pastel shades of yellow and pink. He lands before the two. "Hullo hullo!" His voice is cheerful, disgusting to encounter if you're having a bad day, or even just a case of morning grumpiness. "Farhan, at your service!" He performs a trickhorse's bow.
A bay unicorn stallion, yet not so brilliant in color as Amal. Each leg is sheathed in a white ermine, but for the left hind. A white blaze makes him particularly identifyable. Normally very polite, he now trots up to Farhan to give him a rap on the withers with black and silver alicorn. The unexpected rap causes Farhan to stumble in his bow, and the pegasus scrambles back up again with an indignant snort and a glare in Adib's direction. Ignoring it, Adib inclines his head in the direction of Antar and Elham. "I am Adib. You must excuse Farhan. He has never learned the benefits of manners." Exasperated glance is sent in the other's direction.
And so here they are, eight in all: Almase, Amal, Nazeem, Bayda, Batal, Dirayat, Farhan, and Adib. The herd of Silver Coppice.
