(***Note: Yan is the newest addition to the Starfire crew. I'm very new to rpg's and I'm not sure how to post her crew biography, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Just so you know, Yan is a Rasorian female, position and rank TBA. Her personality will soon reveal itself. . . ) Yan Salanturn strode frantically down the long corridor. Even while walking at a normal pace, her long legs took her twice as far as most people's. It would be immensely gratifying to learn where she was. Her map had gotten left behind when that fool Alsorn packed her bags for her, and there were no holographic maps in sight. And if only Alsorn had thought to put her chronometer near the TOP of the bag so it would be easy to reach (maybe she was expecting too much of him). . . . She paused to check once again the metal tag with her quarters assignment on it. If she ever found it, her home would be C400. Suddenly Yan felt an urge to take out the jar of red sand hidden somewhere in her bag. Home was the smooth, silky red dunes of Rasor, and she had never left it before. She felt unaccountably nervous. Now she was about to go farther than she had ever gone in her entire life. Yan had tried several times to set up a VR link with the Starfire, but for some reason the VR server was on the fritz. One time she had heard a snatch of conversation, but then even the audio wire had gone dead. Before she left, her supervising officer, Fior Maliurn, called her into his office. "Salanturn," he said disapprovingly, "I expected an officer of your caliber to be able to configure a simple VR link. I would be very interested to know why it failed."
