when i said i was poor, i was joking...i dont' have enough money to go to a larger university, but i'm not in poverty. i'm a bit of a smartass.

That's a bit like if i were to say that the reasons for religion and the factors that have guided what we believe are unimportant. The reason that it's important whether or not the earth was created by god or by accident, is because it has to do with the nature of god. Is god a being who allows something such as the big bang to start us off, or is god a being who is personally involved in the creation of our universe. In the grand scheme of things, just about anything you can discuss about religion can be viewed as unimportant...I think arguing about it is silly...but thinking about anything relating to the nature of the universe, god, humanity, or science is important.

no one can prove anything. period.

inspiration is emotional. if someone is inspired by a bird, it is no more or less founded in reality than in a book. any book...holy or not. divine inspiration is a personal thing...so it can't be effectively judged by anyone outside of the experienced. we can guess, and assume whether or not it's sincere, but there is no way to prove it. it's a bit like saying "people who are married after 3 years of dating are truly love. Those who are married after 2 years probably aren't." how can you possibly know which can superscede the other when you aren't the person experiencing it?

you appear to have a soapbox you wish to climb on regarding this matter. or at least an already formed opinion. go right ahead and share. I would much prefer an honest discussion than being led to either the specific answer you want, or baited into an argument because I haven't answered to your satisfaction. I'm not trying to be rude, just an honest observation.
