Subject: Religion?

Certainly religion can be an extremely valuable asset.

Equally, it can prove disastrous.

Surely the number of atrocities performed in the name of God; Allah; Buddha or whoever is unacceptable to any thinking person.

Were God to look down upon the carnage committed in His name on Earth, He'd be aghast, I'm sure.

What's the answer then?

To have no religion? No. Not at all. This would be akin to shooting off your foot, to cure a pimple on your toe.

Perhaps moderation is the answer? Yes, this sounds good. But is it feasible or reasonably practiceable? Can zealots ever become moderates?
