A little information on former Beaver Andrew Murray who is playing with Medvescak in the KHL:

“If you were surprised by our favorable ratings given to Medvescak
players during their early struggles, you will probably agree with us
14 games into the season that those grades were well deserved.
Medvescak is climbing the table rapidly and all the players are
looking invincible. However, a team is never as good as it seems
while on a winning spree, and never as bad as you think it is during
a losing streak. Baring that in mind we will wrap up the remaining
forwards.

Andrew Murray, C: 14GP, 1G, 1A.
There are a few reasons why Medvescak makes highly skilled Russian
teams look silly during extended periods of play. Relentless
backchecking, forechecking, dominant boardplay and an all-around near
fanatical working mentality. Murray is the embodiment of the
mentioned qualities. Centering the third line for the whole season,
Murray is the guy you want to have playing against the opposing teams
top lines. He is the first choice on the PK, strong in the faceoff
circle (51.5%) and just damn hard to play against. Hasn’t been
putting up much points, but he is primarily the player who takes
draws in the defensive zone and finishes his shifts in the opponents
end. A very complete player who has great chemistry with his
linemates Walker and (up until the last game) Bjorkstrand (who has
been pushed to the 4th line by Michael Ryan). This trio disrupts the
opponents cycle in Medvescak’s zone with ease, and their brake outs
are just a joy to watch. Grade: A”
