Olympic ice killed them again. This always seems to be an issue against teams that pass well. There is just so much more room to pass on Olympic ice which makes things so much more difficult to defend. The worst part of this is that Mankato has Olympic ice too and is a really talented team now. The Beavers could hang with them in the past when they weren't so good, but watch out. Anyway, overall, they played pretty well, and it may be a different story if the game is played on NHL ice or if the Beavers ever figure out how to play on the powerplay again. 8th place be damned, this team can finish in the top half of the league if Bitzer is for real.
