I think that it is truly possible for the series to have the main charachters "hook up". I do, however, think that in order for the series to continue successfully after Harm and Mac get together, other characters will have to take the forefront of the show. My hope is that Harm and Mac get together(obviously), they both get promoted to either the JAG or a judge, then have the show's younger lawyers come in to start the long UST process over again. Heck, Tiner could very well become a lead character in the show if that ever happened.

We just need to remember that other than soap operas, tv shows don't last very long, no matter how successful they may be and the track record for shows after the two main characters finally get together is pretty terrible. With that being said, realistically, we either get more seasons with only H/M shipper moments, most likely ending with them hooking up, or basically one more season of JAG with a happily ever after.
