Well I have to admit that nine of those pounds came off in the first week, that always happens when I start a new plan. But usually when the loss slows is when I give up. This time I decided to see what would happen if I kept going. No pressure to lose just a commitment to complete 30 days. Well it's amazing how changing your mindset can affect things. Taking the focus off weight loss and concentrating on aquiring healthy habits made all the difference in the world. I chose 30 days because they say 30 days makes a habit, and let me tell you it really does.

I went from being a diet soda junkie to drinking 80-100 ounces of water a day, I eat between 1200-1500 calories a day ( although I have had days where I splurge a little), I started walking at lunch 3 days a week, and have now added at least two days a week at the gym. Most importantly these things have become part of my life and even if I do splurge, I am always excited about returning back to my plan the next day. I really feel like I can live like this for the rest of my life, which is so exciting considering my hundreds of failed attempts to lose weight in the past.
