Subject: Personal Update

Well, after some searching, and several more days feeling guilty for every morsel of food that passed my lips, I realized that the problem flared up again when I started a new medication. So I took myself off the medication, and went back to the old one I was on. (I already had the doctor's approval to do this if the new med didn't work out)
Since making the change, which has been for two days now, I've felt less guilty, and actually am starting to show an appetite again.

I'm not too optimistic on this though, for I partially fear I'm headed to the other extreme and will start to binge. From past experiences, I realize that this is usually what happens. I'm fighting like hell to not do it.. although I've slacked off today, and am pretty mad at myself for doing so.

My meals today were some chipped roast beef in bbq sauce heated and on a flour tortilla, a slim-fast bar, a slice of beef bologna in a tortilla.. and my parents are bringing home pizza for dinner..I'm going to limit myself to 2 slices then call it quits regardless if I'm still hungry or not.
I'll fill up any excess hunger with water, fruit, or something similiar that is healthy. I'd have salad, but we're out of lettuce..

Thanks to all for your support.. I really appreciate it.

I'm glad to see that you're eating better and feeling a little better about things. Medicine is really just a combination of chemicals and we all know how important chemicals are in regulating our brain and body functions. So it's not too surprising that the new med was causing this. I'm guessing it was some sort of anti-depressant. They are notorious for playing on our hunger and appetite. I'm glad you were able to trace it down. I know you can get control over this and resist the binge urge. You are worth the effort!!!!
