[the sculpted head flew up, his hoof barely knicked his cheek. petite ears plastered against the regal-like skull. dark eyes rolling quietly and he swerved to ram his shoulder into the bronc's shoulder, just as Cigar came crashing down. abruptly the slender legs carried him into a jaunty, quick amble. silken tail lashed across taut hind 'quarters, as he fought the urge to draw blood. the whiskery muzzle never parted to allow a sound out, and the fiery canvas glittered with a light sweat. finely tuned muscles rippled beneath the gleaming, chestnut pelt. tossing the carven head, the supple neck twisted around. he watched quietly, waiting. awaiting his chance to pose and strike. . .]
