hum, I think I prefer him clean shaven, not that I have anything against beards, moustaches and sideburns. He just looks scruffy, and gosh, I see enough 'scruffy' living here in hicks-ville. Anything, though, looks better than that "soul patch" he sported for a while a few years ago. Yuck!

To me his lower face is almost out of porportion with the rest of his face, so when he has facial hair it really looks too large. You've seen tomcats with great big jowls, right? He reminds me of that enough without facial hair. btw, I saw a picture of Ben Bowder of Farscape with a full beard and man, did it make him look like he had big tom-cat jowls!

However, I've always liked it that DD wears sideburns. He even wore them when all the other guys were shaving straight lines above the ears. I think sideburns help balance out his face. And when he wore them long, shaving them at the bottom of the ear I was especially pleased. Ooo, he was "so" anti-establishment, LOL.

Perhaps that's why he looks so good in glasses - they help to balance his face. Does anyone have a record of how many times we saw Mulder with glasses?

And as nice looking as I think he is, I think he was in his prime about 4 years ago. Now he is beginning to look "old", to me, not that there's anything wrong with that so lower those flame-throwers...just a personal preference.

;)

Chantal
(btw, detoured, your mailbox is stuffed as of 06/04/ PM. Mine came back.)
